To create an add-on deal, navigate to “Shop Manager” > “Promotions” > “Add-on Deals.” Click “Create Add-on Deal” to configure your promotion. There are two types of add-on deals:
- Combine related items in your store to offer add-on deals. This encourages customers to purchase these products together, boosting the overall order value.
- When a customer spends a certain amount in a single order, they can add add-on items for a discounted price.
📍 Featured Item Add-ons
Terms & Conditions:
- You can create multiple featured item add-on promotions.
- Featured Items: Up to 30 items per promotion. An item can only be listed as a featured item once during a single promotion period. For example, if promotions A and B run from June 1 to June 5, none of the 30 featured items in promotion A can be repeated in promotion B.
- Add-on Items: Up to 10 items per promotion. These must be listed and in stock. These items can be listed in multiple promotions at the same time. If an add-on item is deactivated, out of stock, or not available in a specific region, the buyer will not be able to see it displayed in the discount section of the shop or purchase it.
- You can set a quantity limit for add-on items: For each featured item purchased, the customer can add up to x number of add-on items. For example, if promotion A's quantity limit is 2, buying 1 featured item from promotion A allows the customer to add up to 2 add-on items; buying 2 featured items means that they can add up to 4 add-on items, and so on.
Steps:
1. Click “Create Add-on Deal” and select “Featured Item Add-on.”
2. Enter the promotion settings, including:
- Promotion name (only visible on the Shop Manager)
- Start and end dates
- Discount-eligible locations and currencies
3. Select Featured Items:
- Click “select featured items.”
- Choose items from the pop-up window. If an item is already designated as a featured or add-on item in another promotion for the same period, it cannot be selected as a featured item.
4. Select Add-on Items:
- Click “select add-on items.”
- Choose items from the pop-up window. If an item is already designated as a featured item in another promotion for the same period, it cannot be selected as an add-on item.
- After selecting the items, enter their respective “add-on prices.” For batch price changes, use the “fast entry” button.
- Set a “maximum quantity of add-on items.” This limit refers to the maximum number of add-ons allowed with the purchase of 1 featured item (recommended range: 1-2).
5. Preview:
- Click “Preview” to confirm settings and then click “Save.”
📍 Minimum Purchase Add-ons
Terms & Conditions:
- You can create multiple minimum purchase add-ons. For example, you can set one add-on promotion with a minimum purchase threshold of NT$ 1000 and another with a minimum purchase threshold of HK$ 200. However, there can be no promotions with the same threshold and currency during the same promotion period.
- A buyer can only participate in one minimum purchase add-on promotion per order. For example, if a buyer chooses to participate in the NT$ 2000 add-on promotion, they cannot participate in the NT$ 1000 add-on promotion.
- Add-on Items: Up to 10 items per promotion. These must be listed and in stock. They can appear in multiple promotions.
- You can set a quantity limit for add-on items: The maximum number of add-ons allowed per order is determined by this value. Minimum purchase add-ons do not accumulate. For example, if a promotion with a minimum purchase threshold of NT$ 2000 has a limit of 5 add-on items, a customer who spends NT$ 4000 is still restricted to only 5 add-on items.
Steps:
1. Click “Create Add-on Deal” and choose “Minimum Purchase Add-on.”
2. Enter the promotion settings, including:
- Promotion name (only visible on the Shop Manager)
- Start and end dates
- Discount-eligible locations and currencies
- Minimum purchase threshold amount
3. Select Add-on Items:
- Click “select add-on items.”

4. Preview:
- Click “Preview” to confirm settings and then click “Save.”
Add-on Deal Guidelines
- When configuring promotions, ensure that any deactivated or sold out items are manually relisted or restocked to prevent item issues on the display. If you update an item's status after the promotion has been saved (e.g., deactivate or mark as sold out), the item will not be visible in the discount section of your shop.
-
Editing Promotions:
- Before the promotion starts: Everything can be edited.
- During the promotion: Only the promotion name and end date can be edited.
- After the promotion ends: Editing is not possible, only viewing.
-
Shipping:
- Check the shipping rules for all discount-applicable regions before creating a promotion to ensure there is supported delivery in those areas.
-
If the order includes add-on items, the system will not calculate additional shipping fees for add-ons. Please pay attention to the add-on quantity limit and shipping guidelines.
- Example 1: Shipping for the first item is set at NT$ 60. A customer buying 1 item and 1 add-on will only be charged shipping for the first item, with a total shopping fee of NT$ 60.
- Example 2: Shipping for the first item is set at NT$ 60 and NT$ 40 for each additional item. A customer buying 2 items and 1 add-on will be charged shipping for the first two items, with a total shipping fee of NT$ 100.
- The shipping method of add-on items will be the same as that of the featured item. Ensure that both the featured and add-on items can share the same shipping method. Avoid pairing room-temperature items with frozen items to prevent shipping complications.
-
Returns and Refunds:
- Add-on items will be refunded at the promotional price. If a buyer requests a return and refund for only the add-on item, shipping fees will not be refunded.
-
If the featured item and the add-on item are add-on deals, it is recommended to pay attention to whether the buyer needs to return the featured item together with the add-on item or ask the buyer to make up the difference in price when applying for a refund of the featured item. It is also recommended to communicate and reach a mutual agreement with buyer on how to handle purchased items before refunding.
FAQ
Q: Can I set digital products, workshops, or private listings as add-ons?
A: No, add-on deals currently only support general listings.
Q: Will discounts overlap if I set both a shop-wide discount and an add-on deal during the same promotion period? How will the system calculate the discounts?
A: Yes, as defined in How Shop Discounts Are Applied, add-on deals qualify as type A: item discounts. If a customer uses an add-on deal, the discount will apply directly. If they meet other thresholds, additional discounts will apply.
Therefore, add-on deals can be used simultaneously with other shop discounts like threshold free shipping and minimum purchase discounts. For example, if the store has a NT$ 2000 free shipping promotion, and the customer's order includes NT$ 1600 of regular listings and NT$ 400 of add-on items, the total is NT$ 2000, qualifying for free shipping.
Q: Why does the add-on item status show that there is an item issue?
A: If item issue is displayed, it may mean the promotional item is deactivated, or a price change has caused the setting to be incomplete. Click the promotion page to check and adjust the settings. Items that display item issues will not be displayed in the discount section of your shop.
Q: Why couldn't the customer purchase an add-on item at a discounted price?
A: The add-on deal is only available through the designated add-on promotion section. If the buyer adds the product to the shopping cart from its original listing location, the discount won't be applied.
Q: Why can't I see the add-on items on the product page?
A: There may be an issue with the featured or add-on items. Please check the add-on promotion in the Shop Manager to see if there's an issue.
Q. Why do I get the error: "Some of the selected items are already being used in other promotions. Please click here to remove the duplicated items or adjust the promotion period”?
A: This error indicates a promotion period and item selection overlap. It usually occurs when selecting items before adjusting the promotion period. It's recommended to set the promotion period first, allowing the system to auto-filter items and thus avoid promotion item overlap.
Q: How should I handle the message, "Some of the listed items are sold out. If a product is out of stock, customers will not be able to see it displayed in the discount section of your shop. It's recommended to restock them."?
A: Click restock and go to the Inventory Management page to restock. After restocking, click refresh at the top of the add-on items list. If the warning persists, some items might still be out of stock. Ensure all items in the promotion are fully restocked and refresh the page.
