Pinkoi Shop Identity Verification FAQ

Q1: Why is it necessary to provide shop identity verification information?

To comply with the "Regulations Governing Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism for Enterprises or Persons Providing Third-Party Payment Services," Pinkoi is obligated by law to verify all designers’ identities. Designers must upload relevant documents based on your business structure to complete verification, in order to proceed to the next stage of the review process.

Q2: Who is required to complete shop identity verification?

All designers who wish to open a shop on Pinkoi, as well as those who already operate a shop on Pinkoi, must complete the shop identity verification process.

Q3: Should designers verify their identity as individuals or as companies? What documents are required?

Designers may choose one of the following verification methods based on their actual business model:

• Individual

  Please upload one of the following government-issued photo IDs, such as ID card (both front and back), passport or driver’s license.

• Company 

  Please provide the following documents:

  • Identity document of the responsible person. (Please upload one of the following government-issued photo IDs, such as ID card (both front and back), passport or driver’s license.)
     
  • Business registration certificate:
    • Hong Kong: Certificate of Incorporation, Business Registration Certificate
    • Mainland China: Business license with Unified Social Credit Code
    • Other regions: Locally issued official company registration documents 
       
• Reminder: The name on the identity document of the company’s responsible person must match the name listed on the business registration document as the responsible party or legal representative, to facilitate verification.
   

Q4: How will the information provided by designers be stored and used? Is it secure?

All documents submitted to Pinkoi will be securely transmitted using SSL encryption technology, equivalent to that used by financial institutions and banks. The information provided will be used only for anti-money laundering verification purposes. Please be assured that your data will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and security.

Q5: Notes

• All documents must be clear, unaltered originals that are either scanned or photographed, with all information fully legible.

• You may annotate documents with “For Pinkoi Verification Only” in a blank area.
