How do I pay for ad costs?
Before using Pinkoi Ads, please first complete credit card binding configurations. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged before any ads are enabled and clicked on.
Please note that we currently only support Visa/Mastercard/JCB credit or debit cards for payment. The validity period of the card used must be greater than 1 month. Each shop may only configure 1 card for use.
On the 1st of each month, we will generate a statement detailing your ad costs for the previous month and your credit card will be automatically charged by the system. Details of your daily costs can be viewed by using the filter function.
- Frequently Asked Questions
When will I be charged for ad costs?
Monthly ad costs will be automatically charged by the system on the afternoon of the 1st of the following month. The following notifications will be sent before and after you are charged:
-
Before you are charged: The system will send a “charge notification” on the afternoon of the day you are charged and will provide a breakdown of the previous month’s ad costs.
-
After you are successfully charged: The system will send an electronic receipt to your financial email address.
-
If you are not successfully charged: The system will send a failed charge notification and will temporarily suspend ad service for your shop (including any ads that are currently running) until you are successfully charged. After you are successfully charged, you will have to manually re-enable your ads.
When a charge to your credit card fails on the 1st of the following month, the system will temporarily suspend ad service for your shop (including ads that are currently being run) and will then attempt to charge your credit card again on the 4th and the 9th of the month. After 3 failed attempts at charging your credit card, your shop will be penalized in accordance with “Pinkoi Ads Terms and Conditions”.
Possible reasons for a failed charge:
-
Incorrect credit card information
- Insufficient funds
-
Please pay attention to the expiration date on your credit card. If your card is due to expire in less than 1 month, the system will consider the card as having already been expired.
If credit cannot be charged due to reasons other than the ones listed above, please contact your credit card issuer to inquire further.
Will I be responsible for the ad costs generated from an unknown account maliciously clicking on my ads?
The system will monitor each click on your ads to determine whether they are valid or invalid. If the system finds that an ad as been clicked on with malicious intent causing ad costs to increase significantly in a short period of time, it will record these malicious clicks as “invalid clicks”. Invalid clicks will not be included in your ad costs and you will not be charged for them in any way.
How are invalid clicks determined?
The following types of clicks will be deemed invalid:
-
Clicks that are used to deliberately waste a shop’s ad budget and increase its ad expenditure.
-
Clicks generated by automated methods such as tools or programs.
-
Repeated clicks within a short period of time.
Users who maliciously increase a shop’s ad expenditure will be blacklisted by the system. Any clicks by users on the blacklist will be considered invalid.
What proof will I receive after the successful payment of ad costs?
After you are successfully charged, Pinkoi will issue a Taiwan receipt for the ad costs and send this receipt to your financial email address. You can then use this receipt for tax refund purposes or as a proof of payment.
How do I change the credit card that I’ve configured?
Because only one card can be used at a time, you will first need to remove the credit card that is currently configured. Afterwards, you will be free to configure a new credit card for use with Pinkoi Ads.
