Many designers are busy and often forget to verify if the inventory level of their listings are adequate. After listings are sold out, this creates the situation where even though designers have materials on hand for production of the item, customers are not able to purchase it before the designer manually updates the inventory.
Configuring “auto restock” will allow the system to automatically update the inventory of a listing to an amount you specify after the listing is sold out. When the system automatically restocks the inventory, it will also send out a notification email to the designer. Once the “auto restock” function has been enabled, the inventory level can still be manually adjusted at any time from under Listings.
On average, Pinkoi customers purchase 2.5 pieces of the same item when ordering. As long as production has not stopped on a product or if there is still material available to produce it, it is recommended that you make use of this function. We recommend automatically restocking to 3 to 10 items in order to increase customers’ purchase intention and overall value of their orders.
